Trailhead
If you stand at the kiosk reading the map, to your left is a road leading up and behind you to Cedar Lake.  Follow this road passing by the entrance to the campground on your right, and also the entrance to Arrowhead trail on your left.  After about 500m from your parking spot you will reach Cedar Lake and the start of Cedar Camp trail.

Trail
The Cedar Camp trail runs along the east side of Cedar Lake passing a popular (and intimidating) rope swing before entering a gully. Once through the gully you will reach the junction for Barking Dog trail. If you wish to continue to the remaining lakes, turn right and cross the long bridge. Past the lake the trail enters the forest and climbs to a second junction. Stay to the right (you are now one North Star trail) and you will climb to a second junction. Turn left and you will be on a short connection to Cedar Snag trail. Turn left again at Cedar Snag and follow it to the last two lakes (Cedar 3 and Cedar 4). Return by the same route.

Option
On your return, take the Barking Dog/Arrowhead option. Barking Dog is a short (250 m) trail along the east side of Cedar 2 and T’s with the Arrowhead trail. Turn left onto Arrowhead and you will proceed along a ridge through open forest. Along the way you will pass the junction for Tequila Tonight but continue on Arrowhead. Arrowhead eventually descends to the road opposite the campground entrance. Stay left at the road and return to the day use area and your vehicle.

Note
These trails are part of the Moonraker trail system and are heavily used by the mountain bike community. Free paper maps are available at many locations in Golden and simplify trail navigation.
